Resume
The book tells of a primary school student who writes his diaries whenever he can, and whenever he finds nothing to prevent him from writing. With him, we explore the details of his days with friends, family, and school. At one time, he tells us of the pranks he and his friends played on the neighbors while drumming on empty ghee cans. Then, he tells us of the game of 'marbles' (al-julul) at school and the teachers' punishments, and of his sister who colored everything, even his hand that had slipped out from under the quilt while he was asleep. He speaks of his wishes for his school to be near the sea, and for every class at school to be a class for the Arabic language. He also tells us of the day when he and his friend kept eating mulberries until their mouths became like Dracula’s, and the guard locked the school gate on them! He is certainly a mischievous boy, living his days to the fullest, leaving laughter lingering on the lips of children."
