A Penguin Lost the Way
Resume
As the world gathers to set a vision for protecting planet Earth, Tamer Institute published a story titled “A Penguin Lost Its Way,” which reflects the repercussions of climate change that appear across the world in the form of high temperatures, floods, hurricanes, forest fires, and the melting of ice in the Arctic and Antarctic continents. “A Penguin Lost Its Way,” written by Huda Al-Shawa and illustrated by Walid Taher, addresses climate change indirectly, in simple language and a sequence of drawings whose symbolism speaks to this pressing issue, through the character of a penguin living in its home in the South Pole. As the ice melts due to global warming and rising sea levels, the penguin is swept away on a slab of ice, on a journey that takes it to many countries far from its homeland.
