A Palestinian visual artist and sculptor. He practiced graphic art early on, as well as drawing, painting, artistic printing, and poster art. He was interested in tracing Canaanite and Egyptian roots in his graphic drawings, and he invented his own lines and engravings. He is the creator of the longest mural in the world: the painting “Improvisations of Life.”
Al-Hallaj’s works rely to a great extent on symbolism; the symbols that overflow his work were shaped by his conscience before he turned them into signifiers of the Palestinian narrative in particular, and the human psyche in general.
