Every night, the animals gather on the Story Rock to exchange conversations, while the grasshopper sits among them, attempting to draw attention, yet no one hears him or turns toward him. The grasshopper tries by various means to prove his worth; at times he imitates this one, and at other times he imitates that one, he even insists that he is capable of being a king. He tries and tries, but the animals and insects refuse to make him a king over them. Thus, he resorts to stories, through which he possesses and captivates the hearts of everyone.
