Namoula tells the story of a woman who does not conceive; she prays to God to give her a child of any kind, even if it were merely an ant. After a time, the mother conceives and gives birth to an ant, whom she then raises. The ant assists her mother with her needs, leading the mother to love her daughter, Namoula, with immense love. However, both the mother and Namoula await an end that neither of them expects, and which would never occur to anyone’s mind."
