Healing Through the Sky

A guide for engaging with children through collective therapeutic activities. The concept for this manual began to take shape through direct experience during the 2024 Reading Campaign, in partnership with librarians and arts facilitators. That year, the foundation adopted a slogan inspired by one of the images of survival that appeared in the skies of Gaza during the war: Kites. These kites transformed into a symbol of soaring and rising, granting children a sense of belonging and pride, despite the harsh reality and the brutality of the war that targeted them both as individuals and as the cornerstone of the Palestinian society’s future and cause.
