The Journey from the South to…
Resume
An interactive story that sheds light on the genocidal war on Gaza. The book narrates the displacement journey of two children, Nour and Bisan, accompanied by 'Noqta' the bird, 'Sardine' the cat, and 'Jammaiz' the donkey, as they head south toward their grandmother’s house. Their journey begins after Nour and Bisan lose their parents and Nour suffers an eye injury, while their cat Sardine loses her tail after they were all pulled from beneath the rubble. Along the way, they face darkness, shelling, fear, hunger, and the sounds of explosions, all on their own. Despite the chaos and pain, they try to resist and overcome their fear by recalling happy memories, counting them on their fingers, dancing, and singing in an attempt to reclaim warmth amidst the darkness.
