What Happened to Eid?

In this book we present the stories of Gaza’s children. Some of them have lived through the 2021 assault for the third time in their few years of life. The experiences and stories we wanted this book to make room for, and for readers’ hearts to make room for wherever it reaches, are the product of moments of intense richness and specificity. The children spoke about the Eid that was taken from them, illustrating their ideas and plans for a stolen Eid, about the ice‑cream shops they couldn’t visit, the Eid clothes they didn’t wear, among many other things.
