Follow the Thread

Follow the Thread is a picture book that focuses on the time of “in‑between, the lived time of moving from one place to another and from one stage to another. It is the feeling of not belonging to any time or place, and of longing for both past and future; a yearning to live in one time and one place; and an attempt to understand memory and how we create it across different places and times. The main character searches for themselves in an attempt to understand their journeys and to create a home that holds their experiences. This tension is reflected in the relationship with time and place through linguistic metaphors and the fantastical spaces of the text.
