Tamer Institute for Community Education seeks to improve the quality of Palestinian education and provide a free and safe learning environment. The "Nurturing Hope" project is implemented by the institute in the West Bank and Gaza Strip in partnership with the Supervision Department at the Ministry of Education and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), aiming to create a new space to sustain this effort.
The project works towards achieving several objectives in order to enhance the educational level of a group of children in basic skills such as Arabic language (listening, reading, and writing), mathematics (critical analysis and problem-solving), and arts (using materials from the environment and integrating them with curriculum analysis and understanding). Storytelling plays a fundamental role in working with children within this project.
Moreover, the project contributes to developing teachers' capabilities in designing new tools that utilize storytelling to simplify and present concepts in the curriculum. Additionally, it focuses on the development and activation of school libraries by providing them with a collection of story publications.
