"Oh Death, I do not want you,
Why did you take my friend's colors?
And why did you leave the mother crying?
And why did you Abandon love?"
These poignant words come from Mariam Al-Khatib, a member of the Yara'at team, grappling with the shadow of death in the midst of war. Our heartfelt wishes for safety and peace go out to all the Yara'at team members in Gaza and the youth and children of Palestine.
