The Publishing Unit was established in 1993, with the overall goal of developing children’s literature in Palestine and providing quality literature available for children and young people in Palestine, thus encouraging youth to read. The Unit encourages local children’s literature writers and illustrators to produce more books and stories, and encourages the use of children’s literature in schools to enrich children’s language. The Publishing Unit aims to build capacity for NGO educational publishing for children, young people and teachers in Palestine. |
